I liked everything about this hotel. I felt appreciated, too. I had a medical problem flair up during a week long stay and the staff jumped through hoops to care for me. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, the staff superb without being omnipresent, and the choices of food delicious. Try their Tomato soup. Most importantly, I felt I received the right value for the costs. If you see my other reviews, then you know I don't gush. So trust me on this one. You'll like it.

Can't say enough about the Penn; service was impeccable, beautiful lobby - great place to get drinks and food, room was clean, comfortable and presented with fresh mangoes daily! Only "con" - no cots for younger kids. We all 4 fit on the king size bed but it would've been nice for the kids to have a separate cot. But that was minor. We loved the Penn and would not hesitate to recommend it and stay there again.

The Peninsula Manila meets its reputable standards of service, excellence and elegance! Very attentive and cordial staff no matter where you are on the premises - always felt very safe and secure. Buffets are wonderful - east and west! Lobby is great place for quick meetings or to relax and unwind; enjoy light meals or cocktails. Although walking distance to major Makati Malls, restaurants, it was too hot/humid, but shuttle service is very helpful. (Beware of evening traffic on Thursday and Friday nights - especially when it rains!) Only "concerns" - room AC is very cold even on low; also some minor plumbing issues in the bathrooms... Definitely look forward to returning!
